Hapizi graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the International Islamic University. He was called to the Malaysian Bar on 11th March 2004 and practices in the Litigation Department.
Before joining the Firm, Hapizi practiced in the Banking & Finance Division of one of Malaysia’s largest law firms. Hapizi joined the Firm as a Senior Associate in 2010 and has since continued to grow his banking portfolio.
Hapizi regularly appears at all levels of the Malaysian Courts. He acts for numerous major banks and financial institutions wherein he manages various litigation portfolios – particularly those relating to debt recovery & insolvency. His practice also includes advisory services for panel clients on a wide range of legal issues, but particularly on matters relating to both conventional and Islamic banking, regulatory compliance, and contractual issues.
Hapizi was admitted as partner of the Firm in 2024.
