The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709) (“PDPA”) is aimed at regulating the processing of the personal data of an individual who is involved in commercial transactions by the data user, to provide protection to the individual’s personal data and thereby protect the interest of the individual concerned.

This personal data protection notice (“Notice”) explains how Sidek Teoh Wong & Dennis (“STWD”) collects, uses and processes personal data obtained in the course of your dealings with us.

By engaging Sidek Teoh Wong & Dennis to provide services or by interacting with Sidek Teoh Wong & Dennis either at our events, conferences, seminars, talks or otherwise, or by using the STWD website http://www.stwd.com.my (“Website”), you consent to the processing of your Personal Data by STWD and all persons involved in the provision of services by STWD.

   Personal data that we collect and process includes your personal data and/or information(s) and/or document(s) and any other information that may be relevant in order for us to provide our legal services and to share information that may be of interest to you. Your usage and/or continued usage of our services and/or Website and/or communication with STWD gives express consent to STWD for collection and processing of your personal data.
   
   We may collect personal data directly from you, from third parties and/or from public sources (including the results of searches conducted at public registries, and information obtained from any regulatory agency).

   From time to time, your Personal data and/or information(s) and/or document(s) may be inevitably seen by third parties who were engaged by us for the maintenance and upkeeping of our office and files but there shall be no direct express disclosure for any commercial purposes.        
   
   
3. Rights of Access and Correction
   You have the right to request access and to request correction of your personal data and/or information(s) and/or document(s) at any material time. You agree and consent to notify STWD promptly should there be any changes in your personal data and/or information(s) and/or document(s) which you have provided or disclosed.
   
   Any request to access and to correct your personal data and/or information(s) and/or document(s) shall be made in writing to Messrs. 4. Impact Resulting from Failure to Supply Personal Data
   Your personal data is provided to us on a voluntary basis. However, we may not be able provide the requested services or otherwise correspond with you if we do not have the relevant personal data or should you fail or refuse to provide or disclose the same to STWD.    We shall use all reasonable endeavours to keep and process your personal data and/or information(s) and/or document(s) in a secure manner. We endeavour, where practicable, to implement the appropriate administrative and security safeguards and procedures in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations to prevent the unauthorized or unlawful processing of your personal data and/or information(s) and/or document(s) and the accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, your personal data and/or information(s) and/or document(s).
