Yao Ying graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Malaya and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 25th June 2012. She attends to Conveyancing and Banking matters under the supervision of Mr. Eric Leong.
Yao Ying’s practice is particularly focused on conventional and Islamic financing and has been called upon by numerous financial institutions in relation to their conventional and Islamic financing documentation for use domestically and abroad. She also creates financial institutions’ template documents in accordance with the various financing products and updates their template documents from time to time.
In addition to financing related matters, she also advises clients on a diverse range of matters including joint ventures, development agreements and real estate matters (developer sales, sub sale, tenancy and leasing).
Son Liang graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from University of Malaya in 2008 and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 30th April 2009.
She began her legal career as a litigator in a prominent legal firm in Petaling Jaya for 2 years. Son Liang then joined STWD in 2011 in the corporate and conveyancing department.
Throughout Son Liang’s practice at STWD she has worked on various corporate merger and acquisition exercises, large land deals, joint venture for development of land, tenancy and lease agreements, advisory work such as estate administration and distribution and other commercial contracts.
